IFZA Dubai, the UAE’s most dynamic and truly international Free Zone, has announced the sponsorship of the Habtoor polo team for the polo events series running from 2022 to 2023.
The signing ceremony took place on February 8, 2023, at Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club, and was attended by Mohammed Khalaf al Habtoor, founder of the Dubai Polo Gold Cup Series (DPGC) and president of the UAE Polo Federation, and Martin G. Pedersen, IFZA chairman.
Mohammed al Habtoor said, “We are excited to welcome IFZA as team sponsors for 2022-2023. Thanks to our ongoing partnership with IFZA, we are able to support the polo team across several tournaments, starting with the Silver Cup at the world-recognized DPGC series, to the local and independent polo events we hold throughout the year.”
Martin G. Pedersen commented, “As one of the leading Free Zones in the UAE, we are committed to supporting homegrown talent that makes an impact on both the local and international business community. We are delighted to support the Al Habtoor polo team, contributing towards the UAE’s sporting presence on a global stage. This will also undoubtedly allow us to introduce more members of our global network of Professional Partners and other guests to Dubai’s unique polo scene.”
The partnership secures IFZA’s presence during the club’s calendar of polo events for the year. IFZA will also continue to host its hospitality lounge for its guests and professional partners at the Al Habtoor Polo Resort Hotel.
