IFZA Dubai Appoints Philipp Conrads as Chief Executive Officer

Dubai, UAE –   IFZA Dubai announces the appointment of Philipp Conrads as its new CEO, effective February 1, 2026.

The announcement comes as part of the company’s leadership update as the organisation continues to expand its global footprint and strengthen its ecosystem-led model. It also reflects the company’s long term strategic direction as it scales. Philipp will lead IFZA’s Dubai core operations and Ecosystem teams, reporting to Jochen Knecht, who will continue in a broader executive and global leadership role.

Philipp brings deep international leadership experience from large, complex service organisations. Most recently, he served as CEO of Dussmann Service Deutschland GmbH, where he led a workforce of approximately 15,000 employees and managed multimillion euros in revenue. During his tenure, he drove organisational transformation, strengthened operational performance by implementing growth strategies for the EMEA and German markets, expanded digital capabilities, and supported sustained organic growth. His leadership approach is strongly customer-focused, augmented by integration of sustainability, automation, and AI with extensive experience across international markets and varied organisational structures.

Following a structured transition and handover period, Jochen Knecht will move into a broader executive oversight role, focusing on IFZA’s international footprint, strategic priorities, and alignment across its wider group of entities. He will work closely with Philipp to support continuity and long-term growth. The new leadership structure is designed to reinforce collaboration and long-term value creation.

“The UAE is not only IFZA’s flagship market but the foundation for our global growth. The country’s vision to attract foreign direct investment and enable business-led job creation aligns closely with our mission to build high impact economic ecosystems. With Philipp joining IFZA, we will continue strengthening our teams and driving the next phase of growth, both locally and internationally. His experience and leadership will be instrumental in ensuring that IFZA continues to deliver tangible impact for our stakeholders.” said Jochen Knecht, CEO, IFZA Global.

Commenting on the appointment, Philipp Conrads said, “I am deeply honoured to step into the role of Chief Executive Officer of IFZA Dubai at such a significant moment in its growth journey. What stands out to me is IFZA’s high-performing, collaborative and fully international team from diverse backgrounds, united by a shared commitment to create long-term value for Partners and businesses. I am excited to work alongside this talented team as we continue to strengthen IFZA’s operations, ecosystem and shape the next phase of its growth.”

The appointment reinforces IFZA’s commitment to strengthening its leadership foundation while continuing to build a resilient, scalable, and globally connected free zone ecosystem. The company aims to remain responsive to the shifting global economic landscape as it continues to deliver value to its partners and stakeholders.
