GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The role of Academy Manager involves the formulation and implement of the strategic plan for the IFZA Academy along with providing day to day leadership to all Academy staff. Responsible for shaping the effectiveness and future direction of the IFZA Academy, this position requires the candidate to identify training needs and design and deliver training programs. In addition, the Academy manager will be responsible for monitoring the effectivess of training and the ongoing development of all IFZA staff and professional partners.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver a clear vision and supporting strategy for the IFZA Academy in line with the strategy and philosophy of IFZA
- Lead on recruitment for all Academy staff
- Implement, update and enforce an operational / performance plan to deliver the strategic objectives of the Academy
- Deliver all activity within agreed budgets
- Manage all Academy staff ensuring they understand what is required of them and can effectively achieve their goals
- Conduct regular performance appraisals and team meetings to address human capital opportunities and manage underperformance
- Monitor staff capabilities, competencies and progression to identify learning pathways and contribute to recommends for career advancement or position adjustment
- Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals and consultation with IFZA staff
- In collaboration with the Academy team, design and deliver training programs to meet the needs of IFZA staff and professional partners
- Monitor and evaluate training program effectiveness, success and ROI through the use of various qualitative and quantitative assessment metrics
- Ensure the Academy complies with all relevant rules and regulations of applicable governing bodies
- Ensure all Academy staff have up to date qualifications and deploy a wide variety of training methodologies
- Complete all necessary and requested paperwork and reports
- Undertake other duties as requested
EDUCATION & TRAINING
BA or higher in Education or related field OR extensive experience in educational administration/training management
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Proven managerfial or senior administrative experience in the education/training sector
- Track record in designing and executing successful training programs
- Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc)
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Proficient in MS Office
- Additional spoken languages are a plus
- Ability to maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices
- Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
- Strong authoring and record keeping abilities for reports and training manuals
- Previous experience working in diverse organisations
